Statement of Investment Policies & Procedures
In consultation with the Investment Committee, the Board sets the investment policy for TRAF by way of the Statement of Investment Policies & Procedures (SIP&P).
The SIP&P addresses key matters such as investment beliefs and objectives, permitted types of investments, asset allocation and investment valuation.
Every external investment manager employed by TRAF is required to comply with the SIP&P. The SIP&P also provides a means for the Board and plan members to measure and monitor the performance of TRAF against its stated objectives.
On an annual basis, the SIP&P is subject to a comprehensive review by the Investment Committee. This provides the Investment Committee with an opportunity to analyze and assess the pension plan’s requirements, and ensure that current investment policies and strategies are satisfactory to meet those needs.
